...first very quietly, at the beginning of my pregnancy through my interest in ethnobotany, then increasingly louder over the years.
A Rauhnacht ritual in the snowy mountains of the Allgäu led me to several years of training in shamanic work at the Tunritha School for European Shamanism. Now I am "enthusiastic" about my journey again.
my way to nordic shamanism
I was born and grew up in Berlin, where I live with my son.
I think my journey to shamanism resembles the lines of a double spiral. It begins in the center of the left spiral with stories, apparitions and experiences of nature. Once, when I was still very small, I was sitting on a tree stump near the edge of a forest and fell into a trance. I saw a procession of forest kings and queens moving through their green kingdom, as if I were dreaming with my eyes open. I don't know how much time passed before I woke up. At the first blink, they were gone. ​
As I got older, my path led me away from childhood and into the world in ever larger circles. Deeply hidden in the middle, the memory of her called out to me silently. For example, I started collecting herbs and then stopped again. Or I started reading tarot cards and then stopped again. I tried more and more to understand the world with my head and studied medieval studies, film studies, gender studies, political theory, Judaism, musicology and textile design. For a while I balanced along this thin strip of "reason", busying myself with social, practical jobs to keep myself balanced, until I found my way back to the spiritual world and began to hear the call of the spirits again...
I would like to encourage you to communicate with your spirits, gods and ancestors! According to Mircea Eliade, at the beginning of time we were all shamans, we could all fly. In the other world, experiences of connection, healing and transformation await you that cannot be understood with the spirit alone in our world.
